Shannon Hope (she/her) is a settler of British ancestry, and was raised on unceded Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) territory in a village colonially known as Lions Bay, BC. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Indigenous Studies, and has been working with Indigenous Nations across Turtle Island for the last four years professionally supporting affordable housing projects, and Indigenous language revitalization at the University of Victoria.
Supporting healing and celebrating Indigeneity are central to Shannon's trauma-informed perspective and approach to her role. She is an advocate for social and systemic change through education and action. Shannon honours and centres different ways of being and knowing, and is committed to this path of continuous learning and unlearning.
